Fortun Church ((ノルウェー語:Fortun kyrkje)) is a parish church in Luster Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is located in the village of Fortun. The church is part of the Fortun parish in the Indre Sogn deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church, which has 230 seats, was built and consecrated in 1879. The architect Erik Pedersen Rusten made the designs for the building.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Fortun kyrkje )〕 The present church replaced a stave church which was built around 1160 to 1180. The church was to be demolished in 1882, but instead it was bought. The church was bought by consul Fredrik Georg Gade and he saved it by moving it in pieces to Fantoft in Bergen in 1883. Now, it is called Fantoft Stave Church. The original stave church was lost in an arson fire in 1992.
